Þá flytur dr. Paul T. Nimmo, kennari við háskólann í Edinborg, fyrirlestur með yfirskriftinni Karl Barth and the Eucharist: Trinity, Obedience, and Witness.

Dr. Paul T. Nimmo er Meldrum Lecturer í trúfræði, við New College, í Háskólanum í Edinborg og aðstoðarritstjóri International Journal of Systematic Theology. Fyrirlestur dr. Nimmo byggir m.a. á bók hans Being in Action: The Theological Shape of Barths Ethical Vision, sem kom út árið 2007. Hann hlaut á síðasta ári John Templeton Award for Theological Promise fyrir þá bók.

It draws on some of my existing work on Barth's moral ontology to consider in some depth a series of dimensions of his understanding of the Lord's Supper. It begins by considering the intra-Trinitarian foundations of human ethical agency in the relationship between the Father and the Son, moves to considering the shape of Christian ethics as it seeks to respond to the Word of God as Gospel and Law, and concludes with a constructive attempt to offer the outline of an account of the eucharist which sits within this moral ontology.
